BACK TO BASICS

Back to Basics features photographs taken with a Box Brownie and a selection of pinhole cameras.

In this age of ever increasing infatuation with technology and mega pixel counts, it appealed to our perverse sense of humour to go in the opposite direction and use such basic cameras. After all, the camera is just a tool isn’t it?

Pinhole or 'lensless' photography is photography at its most basic. It takes you right back to the very roots of photography and the images produced border on the surreal.

If you want to have a lot of fun with your photography we highly recommend getting out the old cameras!
