Isle of Harris

Photographing the Isle of Harris was always going to be a challenge with it’s subtle colours at odds with my
preference for saturated colours and big skies.
The first few days anywhere new is always a learning exercise getting to explore the lie of the land
and seeking out the best photo venues.

We have been to Harris a couple of times now and again were awestruck with the light and
colours of the Outer Hebrides.

Isle of Mull
The Isle of Mull has been our spiritual home for many years, although at times we 'struggle' to get just the right shot. Langamull was five years in the making but at last the light came right for the shot.
We usually go sometime in May and it barely gets dark so sunrises and sunsets are a 'challenge' to say the least.

Isle of Eigg & Scotland Miscellaneous

Just a few miles long and with fewer than 90 inhabitants, Eigg is  a fascinating place to visit.
With locations like the view of Rhum from Laig Bay it has to be on most
landscape photographers list of 10 top places to visit and photograph.
